About Matt Johnson:

I am a freelance illustrator and artist. My work is inspired by the natural world and local Cornish landscape, which both feature heavily in my book covers and print designs.

I start my illustrations by sketching outdoors on location, before creating the finished piece back at home using paint, collage and digitally with Adobe Illustrator.

For 18 years I worked as a print designers for brand Seasalt and left in 2023 to set up as a freelance illustrator.
